Summer 2010:

We knew that Peri was delightful and productive, and were thrilled when she scored so highly on her appraisal this year.   Our little "Tug Boat" is really making waves.  Peri is a good milker and a good looking girl.  Last year, as a yearling, Peri easily earned her milking star in all three categories.

Summer 2009:

Peri has always been a bit overly exuberant so we were a bit concerned about unleashing her energy into the milking parlor.  However, once Peri kidded and took up her duties of being a milking doe, she calmed right down and took her new job quite seriously.  She loves coming into the milking parlor and has earned the nickname, "Tugboat", for her ability of moving much larger objects (other goats) out of her way.  Maybe the name "Barge" would have worked as well.

Summer 2008:

Peri and another doe were best buddies as kids.  They were both adopted by one of our does when they were born and she took very good care of them.  Their new "mom" protected them, ran to them when they cried or got lost, and let them jump all over her while she tried to sleep.  As a result of all that pampering, Peri just doesn't understand that she isn't invincible.  She rides in the 4-wheeler, explores inside the UPS truck, and feels right at home in the milking parlor.  She is definitely a very self-assured little girl.  Peri is the first daughter of our buck Marco.
