Spring 2018:
Obsidian freshened with twin daughters and has now moved to Wyoming where she is making lots of milk for the nice folks at Spotted Dairy Air
Summer 2017:
Obsidian kidded with quads this year and it was a no-brainer for us to keep two of them. Obsidian is a gorgeous doe and quite productive. She is so elegant and beautiful that she turns heads when she walks by.
Summer 2016:
We had high hopes that Dion would freshen this spring and get her udder back into full production. However, for some reason she didn't get pregnant this year. So Dion is milking through. She is doing a good job of it and even scored well on Linear Appraisal even though she had been milking around 450 days at that time.
She is a very good looking girl and we love having her on our milking team. Maybe next year she will freshen for us...
Summer 2015:
Dion is still one of our top milkers even though she had subclinical mastitis in one half of her udder which caused it to be less productive this year. Now that the mastitis has been cleared, we expect that next year she will be milking well from both halves and really show the rest of the milkers how it's done.
Summer 2014:
Just as Dion’s dam, Opal, is consistently one of our best milkers, Dion is consistently one of the best milking yearlings. In fact, she often milks more than some of the older girls. Dion looks great, scored well on her linear appraisal, and is a great contributor in the milking parlor. She is very elegant, stylish, friendly, and productive.
Obsidian has already earned her Superior Genetics title!
Summer 2013:
After Dion was born she was supposed to head to California but the deal fell through and we were delighted to have her stay right here. She is very long, stylish, and dairy. Her dam, Opal, is consistently one of our best milkers - and that takes some doing! Dion loves attention from her people but is just as happy to be rousting around with the other kids.
